Gymnetis holosericea is a species of beetles belonging to the Scarabaeidae family and subfamily of the Cetoniinae.

Description

Gymnetis holosericea can reach a body length of about 30–40 millimetres (1.2–1.6 in). The third instar larvae reach a length of about 20–30 millimetres (0.79–1.18 in), while pupa has a length of 20–25 millimetres (0.79–0.98 in). Variability of this species is quite large. The basic color is usually black or dark brown, with yellow or whitish markings on the elytra.

Distribution

This species can be found in Brazil, Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia and French Guyana.
