HMS Hunter was a Handy-class destroyer which served with the Royal Navy. She was built by the Fairfield Shipbuilding and Engineering Company yard in 1895, spent her career in home waters and was sold in 1912.
Operational service
In early December 1901 Wizard, tender to Excellent, the shore establishment near Portsmouth, was damaged in a collision with a tug at Portsmouth. Her crew was transferred to Hunter during repairs.[2]
