Henry Benzie "Harry" Wattie (2 June 1893 – 1 July 1916) was a Scottish professional football forward who played in the Scottish League for Heart of Midlothian.[3][4]
Personal life
Wattie was the youngest of five brothers.[5] After serving four years in the Territorial Force, Wattie enlisted as a private in McCrae's Battalion of the Royal Scots during the First World War and was killed on the first day on the Somme.[1] He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.[2]
