For more than 90 years Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital has served the Downriver community and surrounding area with a commitment to charitable giving, outreach and building stronger, healthier individuals and families. The 401-bed acute care hospital offers a full range of clinical services, including general medicine, surgery, birthing center and 24-hour emergency care. Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital also provides physical medicine and rehab, adult mental health and neurosurgical services.

Overview
Established in 1926, Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital is located in the heart of Wyandotte, along Biddle Avenue. The hospital is a part of the Henry Ford Health System. The hospital has over 589 skilled physicians treat more than 74,600 people in our emergency department; they also perform more than 19,600 surgeries and deliver over 1,600 babies. The hospital admits, on average, more than 18,000 patients each year.[2]

Awards and recognition
In 2011, Henry Ford Health System was one of four recipients of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, presented by the president of the United States.[11] In the same year, the hospital was selected by the National Quality Forum and The Joint Commission to receive the John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Award. The No Harm Campaign was recognized for successfully reducing harm events by 26% and system-wide mortality by 12% from 2008-2011.[12]
