Heritage Crafts Association
The Heritage Crafts Association (HCA) is a registered United Kingdom charity set up to support and promote traditional crafts.
The charity was launched at the Victoria & Albert Museum in March 2010,[1] with a membership programme for supporters.[2]
HCA initiated a 30-minute adjournment debate on the state of traditional crafts in Westminster in June 2009.[3]
Patrons
The President of the Heritage Crafts Association is HRH Prince of Wales. Other patrons include:
- Lord Cormack – Conservative Peer
- Sir Christopher Frayling – Rector at Royal College of Art (1996-2009)
- Emma Bridgewater – Ceramics manufacturer
- Kaffe Fassett – Textile designer
- Mark Henderson – Chairman of Gieves and Hawkes, No. 1 Savile Row
- Alex Langlands – archaeologist and star of 'Victorian Farm' and 'Tales from the Green Valley'
