Herobhanga is in the South 24 Parganas district in the state of West Bengal, India. It comes under the administration of the Gopalpur gram panchayat in the Canning-I block.[1] The village is under the jurisdiction of the Canning police station.
Herobhanga is located 13 kilometres east of the Canning Town and 4 kilometres west of Golabari. It contains one of the largest markets in Canning. The literacy rates are low.
The village was affected by the 2013 communal violence.
