Hixonia Nyasulu

Hixonia Nyasulu (born 1954) is a South African businesswoman.[1][2][3]

Biography

Early life

Hixonia Nyasulu was born in 1954 in South Africa.[2] She received a BA in Social Work and an Honors degree in Psychology from the University of Zululand.[1][2] She graduated from the Arthur D. Little School of Management program in Massachusetts.[1][2]

Career

She worked at Unilever from 1978 to 1984.[1][2] In 1984, she founded T.H. Nyasulu & Associates, a marketing and research company.[2][3] In 2004, she founded Ayavuna Women's Investments, a woman-controlled investment firm.[1][2][3]

She is a former Deputy Chairman of the South African bank Nedbank.[3] She is a former director of Anglo American Platinum and McCarthy Retail.[3] She now serves as Chairman of Sasol.[1][2][3] She sits on the Board of Directors of Unilever, Paton Tupper Associates and Tongaat Hulett.[1][2] She also serves on the Advisory Board of JPMorgan Chase.[1][2][3]
