Hjalmar Winbladh

Hjalmar Winbladh (born 1968), is a serial entrepreneur based in Sweden.

Hjalmar Winbladh is a founding partner of EQT Ventures, a European Tech VC fund founded in 2015 backed by private equity company EQT Partners.

Prior to his career as an investor, Hjalmar co-founded and was the CEO of Wrapp,[1] offering a new take on social and mobile gifting.[2]

In January 2012 Wrapp closed its Series A funding from Atomico, Greylock Partners and the Nordic VC firm Creandum. Niklas Zennström (Skype) and Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn)[3] joined Wrapp’s board of directors.

Prior to Wrapp, Winbladh co-founded and was the CEO of Rebtel,[4] which identifies itself the world’s largest independent mobile Voice over IP company, as well as its spin out Sinch, where he still serves as chairman.

In 1994 Winbladh co-founded and was the CEO of Sendit AB, the first mobile Internet company, which Microsoft acquired in 1999.

Winbladh has also served as an advisor to EQT Partners and Creandum, is a member of the board at Springer Science+Business Media, Sportradar, and an angel investor in iZettle and EpidemicSound.[5]

Hjalmar Winbladh was one of the guests at Startup Grind Stockholm in 2013.[6]
