National Centre for Food Manufacturing
The National Centre for Food Manufacturing, is the food science campus of the University of Lincoln, situated on Park Road at Holbeach in the south of the county of Lincolnshire.[1]
History
During the 1990s, it was owned by De Montfort University, known as the Holbeach Campus and part of the Lincolnshire School of Agriculture. The campus was transferred to the University of Lincoln in 2004 and re-opened on 2 November 2004 by John Hayes, the MP for South Holland and the Deepings as the National Centre for Food Manufacturing following redevelopment to gain Centre of Vocational Excellence status in food manufacturing technology.[2] It is situated close to Spalding, which is the site of many food processing companies that make ready meals, such as Premier Foods.
Campus facilities
The campus consists of a single building known as named Minerva House, after the University's old logo,[3] which contains teaching rooms, a Learning Resource Centre, food testing labs and business incubation units occupied by local technology companies.[4]

Its curriculum includes foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate courses in food manufacture and technology alongside PhD opportunities in related areas. Further to this there are a range of short courses including CIEH health & safety and food safety, HACCP courses, auditing, ILM management, IFST product development and agronomy courses.[5]
