Hot Shots Golf (Everybody's Golf (みんなのGOLF Minna no Golf) in Japan and Europe) is the first game in the Hot Shots Golf series and the first video game released for PlayStation. It was released on 17 July 1997 in Japan, 30 April 1998 in North America and 1 June 1998 in Europe.
Reception
The game received an average score of 81.50% at GameRankings, based on an aggregate of 14 reviews.[1] Game Informer ranked it as the 87th best game ever made for their 100th issue in 2001 despite past criticisms that it wasn't a golf simulator. They praised it for its balance between simplicity and complexity.[2]
