Hypericum annulatum is a species of herb in the genus Hypericum. It is closely related to Hypericum montanum as it is its sister species.

Description

The species is a perennial that grows 0.2-0.75 meters tall. Its stems are green to reddish in color.[1]

Medical use

Hypericum annulatum contains a newly discovered isocoumarin called annulatomarin. This modestly inhibits the growth of human chronic myeloid leukaemia LAMA-84 cells.[2]
