I-Novae Studios is a video game developer company, founded in 2010.[1] It is known for developing the I-Novae video game engine. It consists of part-time unpaid contractors that will be eligible for equity based compensation.[2]
History
The company was formed in preparation to commercialize as well as to further develop the technology Flavien Brebion was working on in the past for Infinity. In Q2 2010 Flavien Brebion teamed up with Keith Newton, a former developer at Epic Games. Keith Newton then pursued to work full-time during the whole 2010 to create the company and meet with potential partners as well as handling the business and administrative deeds. At this point they also revised their strategy, that then consisted of getting the I-Novae Engine production ready.[3][4]
During 2010 through 2013 the company focused on further development of the engine as well as trying to find possible licensing partners for it. In 2013 they changed their approach and prepared for a crowdfunding campaign to fund development of an in-house video game.
Infinity
Infinity is I-Novae Studios long term vision of what they want to use their in house I-Novae Engine for.
In October 2015 they launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for Infinity: Battlescape, the very first game they plan to make. They promised it will feature "seamless planetary transitions, no loading screens" and "hundreds of players in a single battle".[5]
