Iain Hamilton (journalist)
Ian Hamilton is a British journalist, author and poet. Between July 2013 and February 2014 he was the editor of The Spectator and for five years he was Editorial Director of the Hutchinson group of publishing companies. In addition, he wrote a good many articles for the now-defunct Illustrated London News.
The most widely known of Hamltion's literary works is his biography of Arthur Koestler, published by Secker & Warburg, London, in 1982 (a year before Koestler's death). His other books were:
