InnerWorkings is a marketing firm serving Fortune 500 brands across a wide range of industries.[1] Headquartered in Chicago, InnerWorkings serves customers from offices in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.[1]
History
InnerWorkings was founded in 2001. The company went public in 2006 and is traded on the NASDAQ stock exchange under ticker symbol: INWK.[1]
The company was founded to disrupt the inefficient and outdated print management supply chain, but has greatly expanded its capabilities and global footprint during the past few years.[2] InnerWorkings discovered Marketing Execution was a blind spot in most organizations. There are many complexities involved in executing marketing campaigns across multiple formats and regions. Relying on the usual channels leads to inefficient use of resources, brand dilution and overspending. Today brands outsource their marketing programs to InnerWorkings because they are seeking a smarter, data-driven approach to marketing execution. By leveraging proprietary technology, InnerWorkings brings clarity and insight to the process – ensuring that campaigns are delivered with precision, impact, and accountability.
In the past year, InnerWorkings has publicly announced several client relationships that range from North American contracts to exclusive global partnerships. The span of services also varies from large scale print management contracts to managing clients’ innovation, design and execution of marketing retail experiences, including Point of Sale (POS) materials, retail fixtures, temporary displays, and printed items. In almost all cases, InnerWorkings also provides dedicated on-site professionals to serve as an extension of the customers marketing team.
Some customers announced by InnerWorkings include: The North Face,[3] Kroger,[4] FedEx Office [5] a national public retailer's private label business,[6] Sanofi,[7] Newsday [8] Pizza Hut,[9] DEFENDER,[10] Novartis,[11] Energizer,[12] Callaway,[13] Unilever,[14] Easter Seals,[15] and Feeding America.[16]
Technology
InnerWorkings developed proprietary software called VALO. It’s a single, multi-currency, multi-lingual global platform designed to source, produce, monitor and analyze all aspects of the marketing execution chain. Composed of multiple modules working together, the technology integrates with companies’ existing systems to automate their marketing execution processes to optimize marketing spend while experiencing faster time to market and greater brand consistencies.
