Innovid is a video marketing platform that empowers advertisers to create, deliver, optimize, and measure video experiences across any device and media outlet. Innovid's cross-platform marketing technology delivers video ads to any device including desktop, mobile, tablet, and over 25 different connected TV devices such as over-the-top (OTT) enabled boxes, smart TVs, gaming consoles, Blu-ray streaming players, and over 1,000 different TV and video apps.[1]

More than 220 brands currently work with Innovid for video marketing including Procter & Gamble, Best Buy, Walmart,[2] Chrysler, Kraft Foods Group, Jaguar, Netflix, and PUMA.[3]

Innovid is media agnostic and not involved in the media buying process at all. This allows Innovid to deliver unbiased reporting and analytics back to marketers.[4]

Headquartered in New York City, the company has additional offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Detroit, London, Sydney, and Tel Aviv.

Corporate History

Innovid was founded in 2007 by Zvika Netter, Tal Chalozin, and Zack Zigdon.[5] Prior to starting Innovid, Netter and Chalozin co-founded the tech hub and nonprofit organization GarageGeeks where high-profile tech personalities from around the world came to speak about innovation, including Sergey Brin,[6] Craig Mundie, and Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales.[7]

In 2008, Innovid raised $3 million from Genesis Partners in a Series A round.[8] Three years later, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued Innovid a patent for interactive video technology.[9]

As of 2015, the company had raised $52.6 million in six rounds of funding from investors including Genesis Partners, NewSpring Capital, Silicon Valley Bank, Cisco Investments, and Sequoia Capital.[10]

Partnerships

Innovid is an open-platform and has established several partnerships with third-party vendors, media companies, agencies, and publishers.

Innovid partnered with Roku to deliver personalized, targeted, and interactive video ads via Roku apps[11] and allow viewers to easily subscribe to specific channels with a click of the remote.[12]

In February 2016, Innovid announced a partnership with Snapchat, to provide advertisers with detailed analytics about ad campaigns.[13] Two months later, Innovid rolled out an integration with Facebook and Instagram, to help marketers deliver interactive video ads to both platforms while tracking analytics.[14] In June 2016, Innovid also teamed up with Twitter to give advertisers access to more data about Twitter video ad campaigns.[15]

MODI Media, the advanced TV arm of GroupM and the largest advertising media company in the world, recognized Innovid’s strong focus on the connected TV/ OTT market and began collaborating with the company to power all of MODI Media’s OTT video delivery and analytics.[16]

Innovid also has established partnerships with Double Verify,[17] Integral Ad Science,[18] and Moat[19] for viewability, verification, unified measurement, and fraud blocking and prevention.
