Iota Lupi is a star in the constellation Lupus. Located around 104 parsecs (340 ly) distant,[1] it is a blue subgiant of spectral type B2.5IV,[2] a star that has used up its core hydrogen and has begun to expand off the main-sequence. It is around 6.8 times as massive and 2082 times as luminous as the Sun, with a surface temperature of 19525 K.[3] Classified as a Beta Cephei variable, it varies between magnitudes 3.54 and 3.55.[4]
