Iota Tucanae is a yellow G-type giant with a mean apparent magnitude of +5.36. It is approximately 279 light years from Earth. It is classified as a semiregular variable star and its brightness varies by 0.06 magnitudes.
This star has 2.31 times the mass of the Sun.[1]
