The wingspan is 18–20 mm for males. Adults have been recorded in November and January.
Etymology
The species is named in honour of Annette Walker, who captured the holotype. Her contribution to New Zealand entomology includes revisionary work on Thysanoptera and Braconidae (Hymenoptera), popular books on New Zealand insects, and hospitality to the author and colleagues at her former home in Saint Arnaud.
