Dr. Jacob Crasta is an Indian entrepreneur, speaker, founder and CEO of CM Envirosystems Pvt. Ltd. (CME), an environmental test chamber manufacturing company.[1][2][3]

Early life

Crasta was born in 1951 to Baptist and Sabina Crasta near Kinnigoli in Mangaluru.[4] He completed his post graduation in Organic Chemistry from the University of Mysore in 1974.[5]

Career

Dr. Crasta began his career as a lecturer. Subsequently, he worked as a Senior Sales Executive in Mumbai.[5] In 1981, Jacob Crasta founded CM Equipment & Instruments (India) to manufacture laboratory equipment for research & development and quality control laboratories.[6][7] In June 2014, Crasta was conferred with honorary doctorate by Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University in recognition to his contributions in MSME industry.[5][8]

Dr. Crasta has been associated with several organizations in India and abroad. Some of which are:[4][9][10]

Personal life

Crasta married to Rita in 1977. They have two sons, Prajwal and Praveen.[5]
