Jake Paringatai (born 13 April 1980) is a rugby union player who plays as a loose forward. He will represent the Highlanders in Super Rugby from 2013.[1][2]
Paringatai counts Northland, the Crusaders, Munster and Fukuoka Sanix Blues as his former sides.
Problems off the field earlier in his career, which included breaches of team protocol and culminated in a criminal charge when he was found guilty of groping a woman in a bar and fined $12,500, curtailed any aspirations he may have had of achieving higher honours, of which he had previously been touted for.[3]
