After the end of the match, manager Gustavo Poyet reminded to the Swedish midfielder his earlier prediction of him scoring at this exact match. The agent of the player, Per Jonnson, is a close friend of Gent's general manager Michel Louwagie and they have also cooperate in transfer cases. On 27 November 2016, as a result of his improved performances French Ligue 1 club Stade Rennais F.C. are considering to table an offer in the January transfer window to AEK for the international midfielder. Johansson, though, has a contract at AEK which expires in 2018 with a release clause of €5 million.[6]
