James Jones (documentary maker)
James Jones is a British documentary filmmaker.[1]
Career
James Jones is an Emmy Award-winning and quadruple BAFTA-nominated director. His films are broadcast around the world, primarily on the BBC, Channel 4 and PBS Frontline.[2][3][4]
He started directing documentaries in 2011 for Channel 4's Unreported World series. His first television film was Nigeria: Sex, Lies and Black Magic (2011).[5] His film Children of the Gaza War was broadcast on the BBC in July 2015 on the first anniversary of the 2014 Gaza war.[6]
His films have won an Emmy, a Grierson, a DuPont, a Mind Media and a Rory Peck Award, and have been nominated four times at the BAFTAs, twice at the Royal Television Society Awards, and at the One World Media, Ilaria Alpi Award, and Prix Europa Awards.[7]
