Ji-hye, also spelled Jee-hye, is a Korean feminine given name. The name may also be spelled Ji-hae, though this more often refers to another name with a different hangul spelling (지해). It was the most popular name for baby girls in South Korea in 1980, 1988, and 1990.[1][2] The meaning differs based on the hanja used to write each syllable of the name. There are 46 hanja with the reading "ji" and 16 hanja with the reading "hye" on the South Korean government's official list of hanja which may be used in given names.[3] When written in the most common way in hanja (智慧), this name means "wisdom".
