Jillian Anita Chapman (née, Edwards; born November 28, 1988) is an American Christian musician, folk musician, and rock musician, who primarily plays an indie folk, indie pop, and indie rock style of folk rock and alternative rock music. She has released four musical works, Galaxies & Such in 2009, Headfirst in 2011, Daydream and All My Christmases in 2014.

Early life

Edwards was born, Jillian Anita Edwards,[1] on November 28, 1988, in Dallas, Texas, with her brother, Cole, to father, David Edwards, and mother, Sandra (née, Gregg),[2][3][4] where they were raised, with two older sisters,[5][6] in Richardson, Texas.[7][8] After graduating from Lloyd V. Berkner High School,[9] she attended Baylor University [10] for her collegiate studies, where she learned and honed her craft by performing at area coffee shops.[7]

Music career

Edwards music recording career started in 2009, with her extended play, Galaxies & Such, on August 28, 2009, by Jillian Edwards Music.[11] Her subsequent release, an extended play, Headfirst, was released on November 21, 2011, from Jillian Edwards Music.[12][13][14] The EP was her breakthrough release upon the Billboard magazine charts, where it placed on five charts, on The Billboard 200 at No. 187, Folk Albums at No. 6, Rock Albums at No. 32, Independent Albums at No. 28, and Heatseekers Albums at No. 2.[15][16] She released, Daydream, a studio album, on March 11, 2014, with My Little Gypsy Records.[17][18] This album three Billboard magazine charts, where it peak at No. 6 on Folk Albums,[16] No. 33 on Independent Albums, and No. 6 on Heatseekers Albums.[15] She released, a Christmas extended play, All My Christmases, on November 25, 2014, by My Little Gypsy Records.[19]

Personal life

Edwards married Colony House drummer, Will Franklin Chapman, in December 2012.[20] Chapman is the son of Steven Curtis Chapman. The couple reside in Nashville, Tennessee.[7] She is a Christian.[21]
