Jim Anderson (17 November 1869 – 13 September 1947)[1] was an Australian rules footballer who played for Essendon in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
Anderson, a defender, played in three successive premiership teams during his time with Essendon in the Victorian Football Association. He was a member of two VFL premierships, the first in the inaugural season and the second in 1901. In 1903 and for part of 1904 he was club captain and twice represented Victoria at interstate football.
