James L. Shuck (born August 23, 1954) is a former American football player and coach. He was the 25th head football coach for the Virginia Military Institute Keydets located in Lexington, Virginia and he held that position for five seasons, from 1989 until 1993. His career coaching record at VMI was 14 wins, 40 losses, and 1 ties. This ranks him eighth at VMI in total wins and 22nd at VMI in winning percentage.[1]
