João Castelo Ribeiro Gonçalves (born October 19, 1937) is a Brazilian politician and lawyer. He served as governor of Maranhão from March 15, 1979, to May 15, 1982.[1]
In 2012, Castelo disputed re-election. But lost to his opponent, Holanda Júnior, supported by Dino.
In 2014, Castelo was elected federal deputy from the winning coalition of Flávio Dino.[2]
