Johan Akan
Johan Akan (born Johan Picard, May 16, 1983 in Romans-sur-Isère) is a French model. He is particularly known for two magazine covers : the November 2010 issue of Têtu magazine, for which he appeared with Catherine Deneuve, and a November 2012 issue of the weekly magazine Les Inrockuptibles, in support of Same-sex marriage in France[1]
Career
After studying business, Johan Akan was spotted on the street in Lyon in 2005 by makeup professional Fred Farrugia's team. He then worked with numerous photographers before working as a runway model for a John Galliano fashion show in 2006. In subsequent years, he continued to work for French and worldwide campaigns for such brands as Nivea,[2] Scott Kay, Lerros ou Arrow.
He is selected for several magazine covers, including Têtu in 2010 and Les Inrockuptibles in 2012. Internationally, he did editorial work for such magazines as Men's Health in Germany or Dsection.[3]
After his coming out in 2012[4],,[5] he became the global ambassador for Misterbnb for a year[6],.[7]
In 2016, the 3D model of the character Nyx Ulric Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV was based on Akan. The film was released on July 9, 2016.[8] The actor Aaron Paul voices the character in the English version,[9] and the actor Neil Newbon did the motion-capture acting.
