John Calamos
John P. Calamos, Sr. (born 1940) is a Greek–American businessman and a self-made money manager and investor. He founded Calamos Asset Management in 1977, and won BusinessWeek's best manager for 2003 and 2004. He is also a veteran of the Vietnam War, in which he served as a fighter pilot in the Air Force. Calamos received a bachelor's degree in business and economics from Illinois Institute of Technology in 1963 and an M.B.A. in 1970, and currently serves on the IIT Board of Trustees.
