John DeVae (born October 21, 1983 in Elmhurst, Illinois) is an American soccer player, currently without a club.
Career
College
DeVae began his college career at Coastal Carolina University where he played in 24 matches, 14 as a starter. DeVae then played for Butler University after transferring from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he started all 19 games in 2003. In 2004, DeVae was required to take the season off after transferring between universities. During the 2005 campaign, DeVae played in 17 matches, all as a starter.
Professional
After a year playing in Australia with Brisbane FC, DeVae moved back to the United States to continue his professional career in 2007 playing for Cleveland City Stars in the USL Second Division. He made his debut for the Stars on April 28, 2007 in Cleveland's 2-1 opening day victory over the Cincinnati Kings.[1]
After year out of soccer in 2009 DeVae returned in 2009 to play the season with Wilmington Hammerheads.
