Jonathan Harries
Jonathan Harries is vice chairman emeritus & executive advisor, global creative of Draftfcb, one of the world's largest global advertising agency networks[1] with 9,000 employees across 96 countries. As vice chairman emeritus & executive advisor on global creative, he is a resource for the Draftfcb network as well the Beiersdorf account team.
Career
Harries began his advertising career as a copywriter at Foote, Cone & Belding (FCB) in Johannesburg, South Africa. Before long he had worked his way up to deputy chairman and executive creative director of Grey-Phillips. In 1986 he emigrated to the United States and spent two years at Grey Advertising in New York before moving to Leo Burnett in Chicago. In 2004 Harries became CEO of Foote, Cone & Belding (FCB) and in 2005, he was named one of the "Who's Who" by Crain's Chicago Business.[2] Harries was named chief creative officer of Draftfcb after the merger in 2006 between Draft and FCB. And in 2009 he was promoted to vice chairman & worldwide chief creative officer of the agency.[3]
Throughout his career, Harris has served as a keynote speaker or on creative juries at award shows including El Ojo, Dubai Lynx and the International Advertising Festival at Cannes, where he also was a guest blogger for Adweek.
