Joonas Miquel

Joonas Miquel-Barbadillo (born 19 July 1997) is a Finnish junior ice hockey player currently playing for the Luxembourg Huskies u18 team who play in the French league, in the u18 3 division.[1]

Birth and Childhood

Joonas was born in Espoo, Finland on 19 July 1997. He moved away from his home country at the age of 4 to the Netherlands, where he lived for two years. From here, he moved to Bonn, Germany, where he also lived for two years. From Bonn, his family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where he lived for just a year. After that, he moved again to Seattle, Washington where he began playing Junior hockey at the age of eleven. He lived and played in Seattle for four years after which he moved to Luxembourg, where he is currently living and playing.[2]

Playing career

Joonas started playing junior ice hockey at the age of eleven. He started his career on the Kent Valley Peewee Tornadoes, on which he played for two years as well as playing for the Kent Valley Storm in Canada, before moving up to the Kent Valley Bantam Tornadoes where played for one year before moving to Luxembourg and playing for the Luxembourg Huskies u15 for a year, and then moving up to the Luxembourg Huskies u18 where he has played for the past two years.[3]
