Biography

K. K. Shailaja Teacher (Malayalam: കെ. കെ ഷൈലജ ടീച്ചർ) (born 20 November 1956) is an Indian politician, Minister of Health and Social Welfare[1] of Kerala and the current MLA of Kuthuparamba. She is one of the two female ministers of Pinarayi Vijayan Cabinet. She hails from Kannur district of Kerala.

Spouse: K Bhaskaran (Mattanoor Muncipal Chairman). Children: Shobhith (engineer, Gulf), Lasith (engineer, Kannur Airport)


Career

CPM. Central Committee member. Janadhipathya Mahila Association State Secretary. Third time MLA, represented Koothuparamba in 1996 and Peravur in 2006.
