KLPX is a classic rock radio station that serves Tucson, Arizona. KLPX broadcasts on the frequency of 96.1 MHz and broadcasts from northwest Tucson. The KLPX transmitter is located on Tower Peak in the Tucson Mountains, with studios in the northside of the city.
History
The station was assigned the call letters KCEE-FM on 09-25-1978. On 07-04-1979 KLPX signed on the air.[1] Some on air personalities include The Frank Show, Larry Mac, Beth Simmons, Alice Cooper, Razor, DC Collins, Sammy Hagar, The Mullet, Tony Bones, Dick Havoc, Crazy Elaine, Corey Cruise, Marissa, and the BIG G.
