Kakatiya Institutions is the group of private educational institutions comprising High Schools, IIT foundation academy, Intermediate College and a Women's Engineering College based in Nizamabad, Telangana, India. Kakatiya is one of the biggest, most famous and reputed group of schools and colleges in the state of Telangana erstwhile . As they have been consistently getting state top ranks[1][2] from the day of establishment.
History
Kakatiya High School was established in 1993[3] with both English and Telugu as medium of instruction. The original high school campus, established in 1993 in Pragathi Nagar was affiliated to state board SSC. Later, keeping in view the needs of the students aspiring to opt for Engineering and Medical stream of syllabus, an ambitious project of establishing Intermediate college-wing was initiated. Kakatiya Institute of Technology for Women was established in 2009.
Campus
Most of the campuses are located in Pragathi nagar and one in Subash Nagar area of Nizamabad. Both the Intermediate College and residential campus are in Pragathi nagar. The engineering college Kakatiya Institute of Technology for Women[4] (KITW) is located at Manikbhandar in Nizamabad.

Educational system
Kakatiya has classes from Lower Kindergarten to Graduation. On an average, each class has at least 7 sections, except graduation. Intermediate English Medium 1st and 2nd year alone has around 15 sections each. Until class V, it is co-educational but from VI, there are separate sections for boys and girls. On an average, there are 40-45 students in a class. The students are divided into sections depending upon their performance in recent exams, usually the sections are named as
High School
The High School has English and Telugu as the Medium of instruction. In High School the section are divided into two categories, First Language Hindi sections and First Language Telugu Sections. Each category consists of a minimum number of 8 sections depending upon the performance of the students.
Intermediate College
Intermediate also has English and Telugu as the medium of instruction. The same rule follows for Intermediate classes too. Since the Intermediate is 2-year duration course consisting of Junior and Senior Classes. Juniors have to opt for Maths or Science or Commerce filed which lead to Engineering or Medical field or Business. The sections are divided same as like in the High School.
There is an incharge for each floor. Additionally there are two Head incharges one each for Juniors and Seniors respectively.
Management
The Kakatiya Educational Society is headed by a President and has a Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and the Managing Committee. Mr. C.H Rajnikanth is the president and chairman.
