Kandukur is a village and a Mandal in Ranga Reddy district in the state of Telangana in India.[1]

Geography

Kandukur is a suburban village and mandal headquarters located on the outskirts of Hyderabad, India. It comes under Ranga Reddy district of Telangana.[2]

Kandukur is located at 17.2603° N 78.3969° E.[1] It has an average elevation of 574 metres (1,883 feet).

It is located 30 km from the city of Hyderabad and has suddenly became a prosperous town owing to the real estate boom of 2006. Its strategically located and boasts of all amenities of a small town including a police station, bank and several educational institutions.

Its proximity to Hyderabad and the International airport (10 km), Hardware park and Cyber city makes it a great place for investment and business. Sri Tegala Krishna Reddy is the current MLA of the constitutional area. kandkur is sur name of karnataka state koppal district kushtagi taluka kandkur village is famous for dicentralization of government projects

Mr. Surasani Yadagiri Reddy was the unanimous Sarpanch (president) of Kandukur Village for almost a 19 years and was one of the great Congress leaders in Ranga Reddy District. He developed Kandukur and in his period he sanctioned Govt. High School and 10th class Examination Center for students. He fought for his mandal and also for Kandukur to become mandal headquarters; for that he lost plenty of land i.e.; approximately 80 acres. He was also elected as Maheshwaram Samithi vice-president and also vice-president for Hyderabad District co-operative Central Bank (DCCB) in 1982–83. At that time every one Kandukur is pronounced as Yadagiri Reddy Kandukur. Mr. Reddy was well supporter for backward classes. In his period the mandal was very peaceful.
