Karakobis (also spelt Karakubis) is a village in Ghanzi District of Botswana. It is located close to the Namibian border. The population was 785 in 2001 census.[1] karakubis is a place with many tibes; Barolong, Basarwa, Baherero, Bakgalagadi, Batlharo, and many more. people who originate from South Africa as well as Namibia reside in this place because the people are welcoming and friendly. karakobis is a small village were developments are very slow. there is a Kgotla,a vdc pre-school, a primary school, social welfare offices,clinic and an Agriculture office. People in Karakobis survive mainly by farming and growing of crops. The lands and cattle post are not far from the village.

Karakobis has the unique characteristic of being an antipode to Kapaa, Hawaii.
