Karnawal is a town and a nagar panchayat in Meerut district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. This village is located near Sardhana and Barnava. The name Karnawal is derived from the name "Karna" of Mahabharata.
Notable persons
In 1975, Karnawal became a nagar panchayat of Meerut district. The late Sujeet Kumar became the first chairman of the town; Ranveer Singh, Satish Kumar (Pappu), and Smt. Sumitra Devi have also been the chairman or chairperson of the town. Presently, Smt. Sarla Phugat, widow of Sujeet Kumar, is chairperson of Karnawal. The town has produced many leading PCS, engineers, researchers, scientists, BPOs, lawyers, and businessmen. It has people of many castes and religions.

As of 2001 India census,[1] Karnawal had a population of 12,618. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Karnawal has an average literacy rate of 57%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 73%, and female literacy is 37%.
