Katherine K. Wallman is an American statistician in the U.S. Office of Management and Budget who has served as Chief Statistician of the United States since 1992.[1] In that role, she provides coordination, guidance, and oversight for the Federal Statistical System of the United States.[2]
In 1983 she was elected as a Fellow of the American Statistical Association.[3] She was the president of the American Statistical Association in 1992,[4] and Chairman of the United Nations Statistical Commission in 2004-5.[1] She has made several appearances on C-SPAN.[5]
