Ken Andrus (born July 14, 1935 in Marion, Utah)^[1] is a Republican Idaho State Representative since 2004 representing District 29 in the A seat.^[2]

Education

Andrus earned his bachelor's degree in animal husbandry from Brigham Young University.

Elections

2012 Redistricted to 28A, Andrus was unopposed for the May 15, 2012, Republican primary, winning with 3,080 votes, facing Democratic nominee Sam McKee^[3] for the general election on November 6, 2012.
2004 Andrus was unopposed for the May 25, 2004, Republican primary and won with 1,557 votes,^[4] challenging Democratic Representative Allen R. Andersen, who had won in 2002 by 27 votes. Andrus won the November 2, 2004, general election with 9,504 votes (51.9%) against Andersen.^[5]
2006 Unopposed for the May 23, 2006, Republican primary, Andrus won with 2,034 votes; Andersen was unopposed in the Democratic primary, setting up a rematch.^[6] Andrus won the November 7, 2006, general election with 7,404 votes (51.41%) against Andersen.^[7]
2008 Andrus was unopposed for the May 27, 2008, Republican primary, winning with 1,653 votes; Andersen was unopposed in the Democratic primary, setting up their third contest.^[8] Andrus won the November 4, 2008, general election with 11,044 votes (56.2%) against Andersen.^[9]
2010 Andrus was unopposed for the May 25, 2010, Republican primary, winning with 2,791 votes;^[10] he won the November 2, 2010, general election with 8,591 votes (61.0%) against Jim W. Allen (D).^[11]
