Kentucky Route 1779 (KY 1779) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Kentucky. The route is located entirely in Shelby County and is 10.018 miles (16.122 km) long.
Route description
The route originates at a junction with KY 1871 in Shelbyville. It then heads northeast across Guist Creek Lake and meets the northern terminus of KY 1667 just east of the lake. About 4.5 miles further northeast, KY 1779 crosses KY 395 (Elmburg Road). 2.5 miles from KY 395, KY 1779 meets the northern terminus of KY 1472 (Mink Run Road) and it continues for 1.5 miles until it meets its northern terminus at KY 1005 in Hatton. KY 1779 runs primarily through rural sections of Shelby County.
