Company Story
The origins of the company can be traced back to 1907, when F. W. Kerridge purchased a bicycle shop in Alton, UK. He then expanded his company to selling and servicing motorcycles. In the 1950s and 1960s, F. W. Kerridge and Sons Limited became a car dealership and, in the early 1970s, a regional automotive and parts distributor. At this point the company's management team made the decision to develop its own computer system - the first Kerridge software system - based on a Wang 2200, to help manage the business.
In 1976, recognising the growing need for business computing from similar companies, Kerridge Computer Company Limited was established as an independent systems company, serving distribution and retail automotive sectors in the UK. The company was then expanded into Ireland and South Africa before developing opportunities in the Middle East and Europe.
December 2005: Kerridge Computer Company was acquired by ADP.
March 2010: A management buy-out of the commercial systems division led to the formation of Kerridge Commercial Systems Limited (KCS).
October 2011: KCS acquired TIS Software based in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire, UK, whose brands included Strategix, OneOffice and Global Business Systems.
October 2012: KCS acquired Datawright Ltd based in Washington, Tyne and Wear, UK. The company designed ERP solutions for the manufacturing sector.
July 2015: KCS acquired Dancik International, a company that developed ERP solutions primarily for distributors of flooring products. Dancik International is based in Cary, North Carolina, USA.
June 2016: KCS acquired Mincron Software Systems, a company that developed ERP solutions for distributive companies. Mincron Software Systems is based in Houston, Texas, USA.
November 2016: KCS acquired Integrity Software, based in Johannesburg, South Africa, and its successful suite of products. Integrity Software has a 20 year history of delivering retail and ERP solutions to the retail and distributive trades with a similar customer profile to that of KCS.
