Kira Kosarin (born October 7, 1997[1]) is an American actress. She is known for her role as Phoebe Thunderman in the Nickelodeon series, The Thundermans.[2][3][4]
Early life and career
Kosarin danced and studied ballet at Boca Ballet Theatre and attended middle school at Pine Crest School.[5] Her parents were Broadway performers, her mother as an actress and her father as a music director, conductor and record producer, so she grew up acting, singing and dancing.[6][7] After attending an "acting on camera" workshop, she fell in love with television acting and decided to move to Los Angeles, California in 2011 to pursue a career in television.[8]
Kosarin was nominated for a 2015 Kids' Choice Award in the Favorite TV Actress category,[9] but the award went to Laura Marano.[10] She was again nominated for the 2016 Kids' Choice Award for Favorite TV Actress and again did not win, though she and her castmates won for Favorite TV Show for The Thundermans.[11]
Her Nickelodeon film, One Crazy Cruise (originally titled Tripwrecked[12]) was filmed in fall 2014 in Vancouver, British Columbia,[13] and premiered on June 19, 2015.[14]
Kosarin has a YouTube channel where she posts music covers and songs.[15]
