MajGen Ret Kivlan Zen was the chief of staff of KOSTRAD. He ever led the XVII Garuda Contingent on 1990 in Philippines. He was the adjudant of Prabowo Subianto, the former commander of Kopassus.

Kivlan Zen born on December 24, 1946 in Langsa, Aceh. He is the alumni of Akmil in 1971.
Career
His career in Indonesian Army is very good. He only need 18 months to be promoted to Brigadier General from his previous rank Colonel.
