Kubra Khan (also known as Rabia Khan and Kubra Khanam) is London-based-Pakistani actress and fashion model. She rose to stardom with her acting debut in 2014 Pakistani comedy-thriller film Na Maloom Afraad, which earned her a wide critical acclaim and recognition in the industry. Khan also marked her bollywood debut in 2015 film Welcome to Karachi.[2]
Career
Before acting in films, Kubra worked as a fashion model after being found by Marcus Flemmings, owner of Europe's biggest Asian modelling agency TMP Agency who signed her up. Resulting in shoots with fashion designer Umer Syed and London based boutique Jasmanique.[3] In 2013, she was cast in Pakistani film Na Maloom Afraad in a role of Hina, a bank-worker and love interest of film's main lead Mohsin Abbas Haider, the director of film stated that "We selected Kubra after watching her in a couple of commercials".[4] In 2014, Kubra auditioned for the role of Asma in London for Welcome to Karachi and got selected by producer Vashu Bhagnani[5] replacing Nargis Fakhri in a role.[6][7]
