Kum Bunnadeth (Khmer: ឃុំ ប៉ុណ្ណាដែត; often transliterated as Khum Punnadeth or Khoum Punnadeth) (born November 1, 1981 in Phnom Penh) is a Cambodian pop singer. He is married to Yuk Thit Ratha, also a popular singer in Cambodia.
Biography
Khum Punnadeth was born in Phnom Penh on November 1, 1981 into a family of six to father Chin Sarouen and mother Kum Bonabab. He is the eldest son in the family and has two brothers and a sister. He studied Business Management and graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2003.[1] He started working for EV Production in 1988 as a singer which first produced a number of albums released in Cambodia. The EV label has included artists such as Kum Bunadeth and Yuk Thit Ratha, Ouk Sokun Kanha, Sem Sangvath, and Bo Vichet. Khum Punnadeth married Yuk Thit Ratha (whom he had met at a young age at Ev Productions) on May 13, 2006. They have a son named Kum Ratha Nalido together.[1]
In 2007 Bunnadeth collaborated with singer Yorth Tath Rotha with the song and video "My o My". The song is sung partly in English and in Khmer.
