History
This station opened in 2005 as part of the second line of phase two of TransMilenio construction, opening service to Avenida NQS. It serves the demand of the residential area of the same name and the surrounding neighborhoods.
The station is named La Castellana due to its proximity to the educational center of the name, the neighborhood in which it is located, and the famous Teatro de La Castellana, which is located a few blocks away.
