The eared hutia or large-eared hutia (Mesocapromys auritus) is a species of rodent in the family Capromyidae. It is endemic to the island of Cayo Fragoso off the northern coast of Cuba.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical mangrove forests and swamps. This species is threatened by habitat loss, with IUCN Red List Endangered species status.
