Biography
Laura Peternellie van Pappelendam was born in Iowa in 1883. She studied art at the Art Institute of Chicago from 1904-1911. She taught at the Institute from 1909-1959 and well as the University of Chicago. She was involved in over 250 exhibits in the Chicago area. During the summers of 1920-1927 and 1950-1955 she painted in Santa Fe, New Mexico.[1]
