The Leading Edge Group is an Australian owned Buying Group with over 1500 retail shopfronts throughout Australia and New Zealand. It began in 1986 as Electronic Enterprises, a buying group focussed on the home theatre market.
In 1997, a range of buying groups was consolidated under the brand name of the Leading Edge Group, making it one of the largest retail entities in Australia. Leading Edge Group is a global organisation operating in two major sectors; buying group management and sales channel management across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Leading Edge work with retailers and corporate business across 14 different industry verticals and support over 1,500 retail stores. Leading Edge have a strong presence in the telecommunications and ICT market, partnering with market leading telco providers in Australia, New Zealand, London and Wales to sell and service customers in this highly specialised field.
Leading Edge New Zealand
Leading Edge New Zealand is a fast paced Sales Channel Management company offering sales and support services to some of New Zealand's leading enterprise and SME organisations. With 46 points of presence in New Zealand their primary market is telecommunications where they are the single nationwide dealer partner for Spark Digital and operate Spark Business Hubs and Spark Retail Stores nationwide for Spark New Zealand.[1]
Their Sales Channel Partners range from buying groups and power companies through to ICT and they are part of the Global Leading Edge Group operating across Australia and the United Kingdom.
Leading Edge entered the NZ market by acquiring 15 retail and business outlets and has grown to become the largest independent channel partner for Spark New Zealand and operates across all segments including consumer Retail, B2B outbound Business Hubs and in the Corporate market supporting Gen-i. Leading Edge has grown from 15 branches in 2004 to a network of 46 locations New Zealand wide including 22 Consumer Retail Stores, 10 Business Hubs and 14 Spark Digital territories. With operations the length and breadth of New Zealand, Leading Edge manages a large number of clients from consumer through to the major corporate entities of New Zealand, providing mobility solutions, landline, broadband and ICT related products and services.
In more recent years Leading Edge has taken on the Sales and Support channel role for n3, Genesis Energy and is working with other New Zealand brands to provide sales and support services in other industries.

Leading Edge Computers has over 130 stores primarily in regional locations around Australia.
Leading Edge Electronics
Leading Edge Electronics is a buying group of around 48 former Dick Smith Electronics (DSE) stores. These privately owned resellers changed suppliers in a major move against Australian electronics giant DSE in October 2004 after the resellers were informed that their contracts would not be renewed and in many instances that a DSE company owned store would be opening in the town in competition with them.[2][3][4]
One of LEE's major suppliers is Jaycar Electronics, who supply their products to Leading Edge via Electus distribution.
Leading Edge UK
In the UK, Leading Edge operates as an outsourced sales team for BT, providing sales management and execution in the B2B marketplace across 9% of the UK.
